Miscellaneous topics!

The floods in the UK this July have brought misery to many people and it is still on-going... but I wonder what it has done to the wildlife of our countryside? It has also affected farm livestock, the land itself, and crops.

The misery will continue for many months before things get back to a semblance of normality... and, sadly, some people have lost their beloved pets, people have died too.

I am glad Edwina Curry has actually managed to get the reality of building over too much of our countryside highlighted on television... it is about time a little reality was brought into the mad dash to over-populate and thus cover the land with houses and more and more concrete for roads, warehouses, and what is then deemed 'essential' infastructure.

To a lighter topic... school holidays... wouldn't it be great if some agility clubs had an open day for interested youngsters. Everything which can be done to encourage responsible pet ownership by adding to knowledge would be a step forward.
